Basically in Islam there are 3 kinds of divorce, each have separate rules. When a man has start a divorce, that one is called ṭalaq whereas When a husband denounce his wife of fornication without supplying witnesses and the wife denies it, the process is called lian. and the third one when a woman has start a divorce it is called khula. Talaq can be easily obtainable, whereas obtaining khula is very difficult. Hope this is useful information for you.
